Our Story

Welcome to Grants Biotech

Pioneering sustainable waste-to-energy solutions through innovation, science, and practical expertise.

Founded in 2020, Grants Biotech Ltd specializes in the anaerobic digestion of high cellulosic organic waste, helping businesses transform waste into valuable renewable energy and sustainable resources. Based in Naivasha, Kenya, we have developed innovative solutions that address the unique waste management challenges faced by the cut flower industry and other agro-processors across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our journey began as part of a collaborative project with the University of South Wales and Qube Renewables, supported by the UK Innovate Programme. Through years of research, development, and refinement, we successfully created a commercially viable high solids anaerobic digestion system capable of processing waste streams that conventional digesters struggle to handle.

Today, Grants Biotech combines advanced technology, scientific expertise, and practical industry experience to deliver reliable waste-to-energy solutions. From digester design and laboratory support to gas upgrading and nutrient recovery, we help organizations unlock the full value of their organic waste while contributing to a more sustainable future.
